Instructional OPTIONS

Out of an extreme abundance of caution, the LKCS is committed to offering our families instructional options for next school year. We have reviewed data from our Family Input Surveys. Our goal is to provide standards-based instruction that will meet the safety, emotional and physical needs of our families. We will also allow our families the flexibility to move between options based on their changing needs.

Option A: Daily Onsite Instruction

The LKCS will offer daily onsite instruction as allowed by the Aiken County School District Task Force, DHEC, and CDC. Elementary [3rd thru 5th Grades] and Middle [6th thru 8th Grades] students will receive instruction in separate buildings. We will enforce social distancing, instructional separation, and create sanitizing stations outside of each classroom. Face masks will be mandatory for everyone (staff, teachers, students, parents and visitors) on campus.

Option B: Virtual Instruction & Online Classes

The LKCS will offer daily virtual instruction via online curriculum for Elementary [3rd thru 5th Grades] and Middle [6th thru 8th Grades] students. We will also enforce mandatory ZOOM class participation for students participating in this option. Laptops will also be distributed to any student in need.

Mandatory School Closings

In the event of mandatory school closings by the federal or state government, the LKCS will provide virtual instruction via online curriculum for students. Mandatory ZOOM classes will be held and laptops will be distributed to students in need.
